Four factors for selecting a medical centrifuge:
- Separation purpose: Medical centrifuges are mainly used for blood separation.
- Speed requirements: The maximum speed of the centrifuge for separating blood is generally 4000rpm, and the maximum speed for separating DNA identification samples is generally above 10000rpm.
- Capacity requirements: Refers to the capacity of the centrifuge tube and the maximum number of tubes that can be placed at one time.
Medical centrifuges are commonly used for the separation of vacuum blood collection tube samples, which come in two sizes: 5mL and 7mL. The outer dimensions (with caps) of 5mL vacuum blood collection tubes are Φ12.5×81.5mm, and the outer dimensions (with caps) of 7mL vacuum blood collection tubes are Φ12.5×107mm.
- Temperature control requirements: Refers to whether samples need to be frozen during separation. If freezing is required, a refrigerated centrifuge should be selected. If no freezing is needed, a non-refrigerated centrifuge (room temperature centrifuge) should be selected.

- Equipped with overspeed and door safety protection functions.
